Each member of the design team uniquely contributes to our design process. From design to installation, the process involves hours of sourcing, procuring samples, securing product details and presentation quality photographs, placing detailed orders with vendors, and, finally, receiving and delivery. Every component is an integral part of the process and one we hold to the highest level of standard.
Each detail is equally important, from start to finish.

SANDY MCMILLAN, ASID, NCIDQ
Sandy graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from LSU and has been a licensed Interior Designer in Louisiana for 27 years, with over 30 years of professional experience. She began her career at a high-end commercial design firm in Dallas before moving to Monroe, Louisiana, where she opened her own firm, Intelligent Designs. In 1997, she also founded Haven, an upscale design and retail shop.
Known for her discerning eye for scale and proportion, Sandy understands how these elements can define a space. She excels at blending new and aged pieces, creating interiors that are each uniquely tailored, continuing to affirm that the designs reflect the client’s desired aesthetic above all.

ANALISE KELLY
A Monroe native, Analise is adored by Intelligent Designs’ and Haven’s clients. For four years while attending college, Analise worked for Haven and found her passion for interior design with Sandy as her mentor. Analise is known for her thorough attention to detail, organization and keeping our team on task.
Analise graduated from University of Louisiana-Monroe with a Bachelor's degree, and completed Architecture and Interior Design classes at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Most recently Analise put her procurement skills to work in the corporate hospitality sector. As Senior Designer at Intelligent Designs, she coordinates with vendors and suppliers, meets with clients to learn how they want their spaces to feel, sources furnishings, fabrics, trims and tapes, creates detailed presentations for clients, designs furniture layouts, and completes installations.
In her free time, Analise loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her fiancé Austin and her two nephews.

KAYLEE DANIEL
Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, Kaylee is a graduate of LSU-Alexandria with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing.
As our Design Project Coordinator, Kaylee supports the design team by managing orders, sourcing products, communicating with vendors, and organizing client presentations. She also oversees billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout each project. Kaylee coordinates the receiving process and schedules deliveries to clients to keep projects moving smoothly to completion. She brings an effervescent personality and ability to quickly adapt to new systems in a fast-paced environment. In addition, Kaylee shares her love for and technical skills in social media marketing with the design firm.

Outside of work, Kaylee loves to spend time with her family and baby cousins. She especially loves her most handsome, 20-year-old tabby cat, Monkey.

MARE’ BRENNAN
With a background in advertising, graphic design, and lifestyle publishing, Mare’ has a deep love for exceptional design and has long admired Sandy McMillan’s interiors and entrepreneurship.

Mare’ is an American Lighting Association certified lighting specialist who has studied architectural lighting systems in depth with Visual Comfort. She enjoys helping Haven customers complete their projects with furniture, rugs, bedding, hardware, and lighting at every price point, and can help create layered lighting plans that make a home feel both comfortable and beautifully illuminated.

Outside of work, Mare’ volunteers her time as a Louisiana Master Gardener and serves as a Photography and Botanical Arts Judge at Garden Club of America flower shows across the country. She also continues to write and art direct for BayouLife magazine. Mare’ is married to Steve Brennan and is a proud mom to daughters Madison, Blaine, and Barrie.
